This section gives you the chance to ask an online doctor a question. We have a team of online doctors with different areas of interest. Our system allows you to choose a doctor specialising in a field relevant to your question.

This is a huge step forward in remote medical care, making it possible for people to get direct access to answers to any medical questions they might have.

How does it work?

The service allows you to ask a question about one particular aspect of your health. You can have up to three exchanges with a doctor to determine the answer to your question and if appropriate, advice on any action that should be taken. This allows a useful dialogue to take place between the two of you. Your online consultation takes place via our secure login system. There is even a facility for you to upload a digital photo to help the doctor understand what the problem is.

The Cost

It costs £19.95 to have three exchanges with a doctor on a single topic. There are discounts for groups of questions.

The Terms

Talk to a Doctor.co.uk anticipates that all questions will be answered within the hour. However some questions that are asked during particularly antisocial hours or complex questions requiring further research, may take the doctor up to 24 hours to complete the exchanges.

Once you have posted your first question online, you must undertake your two remaining exchanges within 24 hours of asking the initial question. Unfortunately, after 24 hours, you won't be able to use any unused exchanges.  

You must stick to one topic per set of exchanges.
